"You're certainly feeling frisky now," he said. "I thought you were going to try and relax and get back to sleep." Had he been so wrong about that?
Without replying, Sayid simply gave Kelvin a mischievous smirk.
"Was I mistaken to think that?" he asked. He was still unsure what he would do if the answer was yes. At the moment he was just playing things by ear.
"I am relaxed," Sayid replied. Pulling himself out of Kelvin's embrace, he stood and said, "Now take of your shirt, it is your turn for a massage."
Kelvin did as he was told and removed his shirt. He lay down on his bedroll and rested his head on his arms. He had noticed that Sayid hadn't really answered his question. "I'm glad you're feeling relaxed," he said. "However that still doesn't tell me if you're planning on trying to sleep anytime soon." What the answer was didn't matter that much. Sayid was a big boy and could do what he wanted. It was just the not knowing either way that Kelvin didn't like. (That was a leftover from his intelligence days. Back then not knowing what a fellow agent, contact, or adversary was going to do could have deadly consequences. He had not liked surprises ever since.) He smiled. "Not that I'm trying to push you away or anything. I'd just like to know." He would stop pushing the issue if this attempt didn't yield results. Kelvin sighed softly and tried to relax. It had been a good while since he had had a massage and he expected this to be quite pleasant.
